HTML and CSS: My Journey So Far

I got curious about coding a long time ago, but I only began to teach myself it recently. Though I don’t have much experience in HTML and CSS yet and can make little more than a primitive webpage right now, I can already see how useful it is to not rely as much on website creators for simple websites.

HTML on a computer screen

I took a short break after losing some work without any backups, but started up again a few days later. I mostly used https://w3schools.com to learn how to code and still look at it. Without it, I probably wouldn’t had learned much code (as I’m more of a do-it-yourself and figure-it-yourself coder when presented with something to create).

I hope my ability will continue to expand and my confidence in front-end programming will grow as I continue to study these coding languages. JavaScript is directly in my radar for coding languages to learn, and I get the concept of it and how it relates to CSS and HTML.

Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome to Somnious’ Feed. I am @somnious and this is where I will be posting my ideas about technology, my complaints, my rants, and other posts related to those.

One of my favorite quotes is from a person named Martin Fowler, and it is as follows:

“Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand.”

Martin Fowler

I will admit I’m a fledging coder, but I value very nicely tab-spaced code and it is satisfying to get more done with less lines. Front-end development (the development of a website itself) is what I am focusing on for now.

Check out this blog every once in a while; I will probably post around 2–3 days per week.
